About
Having spent a lifetime navigating loss and grief sometimes poorly and sometimes better, I have dedicated my professional life to helping others navigate their own losses. I am currently a masters student in a thanatology (grief and bereavement) program. I am not a professional counselor and any advice contained within this blog should not be assumed to have come from a mental health professional unless a guest writer has identified themselves as such.
I am a trained end of life doula and a family support coordinator with an organ donation company. Working my way through my own grief and loss, I have found meaning by helping others achieve the illusive 'good death' and family cope with their loss.
Folding paper cranes is about working towards release and peace.
My doula training includes creating detailed vigil plans, it is my belief that as a healthy person creating these plans for life's unexpected turns, you give yourself the best life possible. If you have questions about these services please contact me by email, Twitter, or Facebook. Foldingpapercranes1@hotmail.com
